I don't see why they can't do that or what the limitation is since the current system on Switch makes a new bloody game every time you try to join someone anyway!
D3 is almost tailored end game for solo GR pushing with the odd bounty hunt. The problem is the D3 console system shouldn't be the target they're aiming for - D2 is alot more dependent on group play especially at end game for runs or PvP. finding 4 man bounties or rift sessions even this late into its life on the lesser popular platform is still easy).
